These Ardabil rugs are made thin and of very high quality, weavers may incorporate silk into the woolen pile to highlight specific patterns. Predominately the patterns are geometric the most common layout is that of the medallion, which can be connected in diamond and octagonal shapes all throughout. Motifs and objects are also woven into the corners and boarders. Primarily the colors that are chosen for these rugs are light.
