Bokhara Rugs are a popular Persian rug in the market. Their rich colors, and geometric & tribal patterns are a unique hand-knotted design. Designs consist of octagonal guls, floral patterns, or conjoined medallions, and their colors are rich burgundies, red, navy, & brown with ivory or orange accents and vary from one tribe to another. This technique was used to identify the source of the rug. Wool is generally used as the foundation material, and the wool pile is most commonly tied with Persian knots.
