Gabbeh Rugs originate from South-Central Iran, and feature hand-spun wool in both the pile and foundation as well as all natural dyes. Gabbeh patterns are very basic, mostly consisting of colorful rectangular objects resembling animals, or people, abstract scenery used to tell a story, depict a person or place. They contain soft lustrous wool, and emphasizes color on design detail.
